Your contractor-dispute documents can be personal. Here is what Proofly collects, why, and what the current product actually does with it.
What this policy covers
This policy explains how Proofly handles information connected with our contractor-dispute evidence organization service. It is written in plain language and is not legal advice. Proofly is built for Canadian homeowners, but this policy does not interpret Canadian privacy law or your rights under it.
Information you may provide
Depending on the product stage you use, this can include your contact details, dispute selections, province or territory, and files such as quotes, contracts, invoices, receipts, payment records, emails, text-message screenshots, photographs, inspection reports and notes. Those materials may contain personal, financial or commercially sensitive information. Please upload only what is relevant to the evidence package you want organized.
Why we process it
We use the information you provide to let you use the service, organize documents, produce a sourced timeline and evidence package, identify possible gaps in documentation, provide support, maintain security and comply with applicable obligations. We do not sell uploaded dispute information or use it to market unrelated services to you.
AI processing
If document analysis is enabled, Proofly may send relevant file content to third-party AI or document-processing providers to extract and organize factual information. Proofly is designed to present source references and uncertainty rather than invent facts. AI output must be reviewed by you before you use it. Proofly does not provide legal advice, determine liability, predict results or replace a qualified professional.
Training and model improvement
Proofly does not use your uploaded dispute materials to train models unless you have expressly opted in to that use. We do not infer permission to train from your use of the service.
Retention in the current launch prototype
The current public intake and preview prototype does not upload, store or analyze selected files on Proofly servers. Files selected on the page remain in your browser only and are cleared when you leave or reload the page. There is no automatic server-side file-retention or deletion job implemented yet because server-side uploads are not enabled. If that changes, this policy and the in-product retention notice will be updated before real customer files are accepted.
Deletion and data controls
You can request deletion or ask a privacy question by emailing team@proofly-5qf.madethis.app with the email address used with Proofly and enough detail to locate the request. We will explain what information we can identify and handle the request in line with our operational and legal obligations. Because the current prototype does not persist selected files, there are no uploaded files for Proofly to delete from that prototype.
Analytics and service providers
We use minimal, privacy-conscious analytics to understand product steps such as starting an intake, selecting files, generating a preview, or beginning checkout. We do not send document contents, file names, timeline text or other customer evidence to analytics. When operational providers process information for us, they are used to provide the service rather than to sell your dispute information.
